Citta Widagdo earned a bachelor's degree with honours in law from Universitas Indonesia and a master's with high merit in Criminal Justice, Family, and Social Welfare Law from University College London. After graduation, she interned for Barnardo's, the UK's largest charity for children and family services, work shadowed the Chief Medical Officer of England, and is currently conducting research for the National FGM Centre, England. Having lived with long-term medical condition, she is deeply passionate in improving the health care system in Indonesia and is actively seeking for opportunities in the area of bioethics and health care law.
