Veni Johanna is currently Engineering Manager at Quora, a US-based startup that aims to grow and share the world’s knowledge. She graduated from Stanford University, California, with BS MS in Computer Science. In high school, Veni is the first female Indonesian representative at the International Olympiad in Informatics, where she received a silver medal.

Martin Tjioe is currently working as a geomechanicist with Shell Exploration and Production Company in New Orleans, LA. He attained his MS and PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. For his undergraduate study, he went to Lafayette College, a small Liberal Arts College in Easton, Pennsylvania where he had a chance to double major in A.B. Mathematics & Economics, and B.S. Civil Engineering. He is fortunate to have received full financial aid to study both at Lafayette and Stanford and he encourages other Indonesian students to look into these opportunities. Prior to studying in the U.S., he was an ASEAN scholar studying in Singapore's Victoria School (VS) and National Junior College (NJC). He is from Medan, and he is passionate about helping talented students obtain the quality education they deserve.

Donny Eryastha is Head of Public Policy at TikTok, driving government relations and policy initiatives for Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. Donny most recently led Public Policy for Facebook in Indonesia, where he was at the forefront of driving policy and regulatory programs, tackling issues such as digital literacy, data localization, counter-terrorism and more. Prior to Facebook, Donny has also served as a strategic policy and economics adviser in leading organizations such as the World Bank, AUSAID (Australian Government Overseas Aid Program) and Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), among others.

Stevia Angesty earned her M.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Stanford University in 2012 and B.S. (Hon) in Chemistry with dual minor in Business and Materials Science & Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 2010. She currently runs Feelwell (FWC), a social venture focusing on providing affordable sanitation solutions. Previously, she worked in McKinsey and Sinarmas.

Robyn co-founded and currently leads PT GUE, Indonesia’s leading digital health ecosystem that made Teman Bumil and Teman Diabetes. Her efforts focus on improving the lives of expecting mothers and children ages 0-3 years old; as well as diabetics. She earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College, NY, where she studied Global Health and Theatre. Most recently, she graduated from Imperial College Business School with a postgraduate degree in International Health Management. Robyn also published a bilingual children’s book series called I Am Me Series.

Artricia is a Senior Policy Analyst to the Chief of Staff for the Governor of Jakarta where she manages several variables of urban regeneration (health, international cooperation, SGDs, and transportation). Artricia dual majored in anthropology and comparative literature at New York University. At NYU, Artricia was an Alvin H. Zagor scholar and a recipient of the Annette B. Weiner prize for excellence in social anthropology as well as the Phi Beta Kappa prize for best thesis. She obtained her MPhil in Social Anthropology (medical track) from the University of Cambridge as an LPDP awardee.

Ardhi graduated with a master’s degree in International Development Policy from Duke University in 2019. He works at the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and is currently living in Jakarta. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Indonesia. This year is his third year volunteering at Indonesia Mengglobal.

Edwin graduated from Universitas Indonesia majoring in Communications & Media Studies. He sees himself as a purpose-driven strategic communications practitioner who strives to make meaning and impact through his work. That’s also the reason why he chose to keep volunteering at Indonesia Mengglobal at his 4th year this year; because he believes in the values of creating impact through Indonesia Mengglobal’s initiatives and programs. Aside from his day-to-day work at Nutrifood and volunteering at Indonesia Mengglobal, he is a performing arts enthusiast with a strong interest in holistic well-being, creative storytelling, and people development.

Chani is a public affairs professional currently pursuing her second master degree in Business and Management at Stockholm School of Economics. She pursued her first master degree in Asian Studies from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and her bachelor degree in International Relations from Bilkent University, Turkey.

Dini is a Researcher at Center for Identity and Urban Studies (CENTRIUS) and Lecturer at Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel Surabaya. She also writes at Indonesia Expat. She holds a Master’s Degree from University of Groningen, the Netherlands and a Bachelor’s Degree from Universitas Airlangga Surabaya. She enjoys listening to pop-punk. This is her second year volunteering at Indonesia Mengglobal.

Haryanto is a researcher at Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center, a think tank in the energy security field based in Jakarta. He holds a master’s degree in environmental sciences (minor economics) from Wageningen University and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Institut Teknologi Bandung. This is his second year at Indonesia Mengglobal. Previously, he served as the Content Director - Asia, Middle East, & Africa. In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies, series, and reading some books.

Cahyani graduated from Universitas Gadjah Mada majoring Accounting & Business. Currently pursuing her career in the tech industry. She loves to explore a new culture and languages, and her passion for education led her to contribute to Indonesia Mengglobal.

Chaedar earned his BSc in Petroleum Engineering from ITB in 2014. He is an awardee candidate of LPDP Scholarship and will be attending a graduate school in the US in Fall 2021. Currently, he is working for a consulting firm in Jakarta as a researcher in energy sector. This year is his second year being part of Indonesia Mengglobal after previously serving as a Project Development Officer.

Yogi is always passionate about teaching and developing students’ ability and proficiency in English. He holds a Bachelor of English Education degree from the Indonesia University of Education. His continuous passion in teaching led him to pursue a Master of TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) degree at Monash University, Australia, with the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) scholarship. Yogi is now an English lecturer at President University. He has been actively writing journal articles and book chapters in nationally and internationally accredited publishers.

Rio is completing MA in Media and Communications at Goldsmiths, University of London, with the support from the Chevening Scholarship. Before living in the UK, he worked as a journalist for KBR and then Voice of America, having been based in Jakarta, Bandung, and Washington, DC. In his free time, he likes to exercise, read, and watch anime. Rio is a former mentee of IM Mentorship in 2018.

Awarded with the Erasmus Scholarship, Ivone is currently pursuing M.Sc focus on battery technology in MESC+ EMJMD program, in which she will study in 4 different European universities. She is B.Eng graduated from Universitas Gadjah Mada, major in Chemical Engineering. Prior to her master's study, she worked as a process engineer and a food formulation engineer in Indonesia. At present, she is enjoying the art, history, and creativity vibes of the home of Airbus, Toulouse, France, and, of course, studying at Université Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier. It’s her first year to volunteer in IM.

Cresti completed her Master of Arts in International Development from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in Seoul in 2016 and she also served as a part time lecturer/tutor for the Communication Department of Indonesia Open University in South Korea. She is now based in Jakarta and working in the development sector focusing on issues including child protection, youth engagement, and media development. In her free time, Cresti enjoys reading, travelling, and trying various kinds of dance based exercises.

Nefertiti, or Inef, graduated from University of North Carolina--Asheville (UNCA) in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in International Studies. She then moved to a small town outside of Charlotte to pursue a freelance career as a writer. Right now, she is in the process of revising her first draft of a sci-fi novel for teenagers, Looking for Hope, available through Wattpad. This is Inef's second year as a columnist for IM. Inef likes to play with her dogs, try out new recipes, and go hiking with her partner of six years. She is also a huge believer in the concept that love is love no matter what.

Dessy completed her Master of Education from Monash University, Australia in 2021, with the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) scholarship. She is currently working for a state owned enterprise in Indonesia. In her free time, Dessy enjoys reading and writing.

Aditya is the Director of Mentorship for Indonesia Mengglobal. He's a proud alumnus of Nanyang Technological University Singapore, and he was a former mentorship coordinator, columnist and content director for Asia, Middle East, and Africa for Indonesia Mengglobal since 2017.

Risza is part of Indonesia Mengglobal’s Mentorship team. He is currently based in Jakarta, working as a consultant in the Boston Consulting Group. He finished his Bachelor’s degree in Institut Teknologi Bandung majoring in Engineering Management and pursued his masters in TU Delft and RSM, Erasmus University in the Netherlands.

Achieving her MSc in Energy & Sustainability, from Southampton UK. Novelita currently focuses on deepening her knowledge related to renewable energies and is interested in psychology. Loves to watch thriller/mystery movies. This year is her second year at IM.

Shabrina is currently based in Jakarta after completing her Master's degree in Development Studies from the University of Melbourne under the Australia Awards Scholarship. Previously she graduated from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Japan. With a deep interest in trade, education & development, she works at the British Embassy Jakarta, covering trade & investment in education sector.

Emillia is an undergraduate Occupational Health and Safety student in University of Indonesia. She is having interest in Event Organizing and Public Relations. Maura has established social movement named Indonesia Talent Hub as Co-Founder and CEO. Beside of that, she is currently doing the internship in PT. Adhikarya Persero and part time in Kormo Jobs by Google.

Viddy is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in European Society, Politics, and Culture in a Global Context in France, Poland, and one other European country, under the Erasmus+ Scholarship. Passionate about higher education issues, he believes that higher education should develop beyond borders, and students should have access to wherever country and university they want to learn.

Elvia is a recent MSc graduate from the University of Edinburgh majoring in International Business and Emerging Markets. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universitas Indonesia. Prior to masters, Elvia worked for Unilever for 4 years. She now works as a BD Associate in Cargill.

Under the Fulbright scholarship, Faizal earned his MS in Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, USA. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in telecommunication engineering from Telkom Institute of Technology (now Telkom University). Faizal is currently working at Telkom Indonesia as a senior officer in strategic portfolio directorate. This is his first year volunteering at Indonesia Mengglobal

Audi is a recent graduate from Univ. Multimedia Nusantara with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Science. During her final year, she interned at the 18th Asian Games, Kompas Gramedia, and Unilever. She’s now a brand builder in a local FMCG company in Jakarta. Passionate about learning and education, Audi aspires to bring impact on equity in education with IM.

Currently based in Rotterdam, Jovano works as Market Analyst for Koppert Biological System, a multinational company which provides sustainable solutions for agriculture. In 2018, he obtained his Master Degree from 2 universities, one in Spain and the other in Italy, fully funded by Erasmus Mundus Scholarship. Prior to that, he was awarded Beasiswa Unggulan and Kobayashi Scholarship to pursue his undergraduate study in Biotechnology at Nagoya University, Japan. He started to get involved with IM as a mentor in 2020. In his spare time, Jovano enjoys watching movies and playing with dogs.

Sally completed her BSc in Industrial Engineering at ITB and decided to pursue MSc in Business Analytics from Imperial College London in 2016. In 2019, she resigned after four years working as a management consultant to live in Oxford, UK, with her little family. This year is her fourth year volunteering at Indonesia Mengglobal.

Jen is based in Jakarta and currently supporting several community building projects at the ASEAN Foundation. She graduated from International Relations Department of Universitas Padjadjaran in 2017 and completed her 9-month internship program in Istanbul a year after. Her experience joining several exchange programs to South Korea, Netherland, Belgium, and France grew her interest in the youth movement and social volunteerism issues. On her weekend, she enjoys watching cooking demos on youtube.

Eizer is a Consultant at PwC Consulting with over three years of working experience across Asia-Pacific, specializing in topics related to strategy, operations, and sustainability. He graduated from the Universitas Indonesia and has been awarded the Global Korean Scholarship (GKS) from the Korean Government, for a one-semester exchange at Kookmin University in Seoul. In his free time, he likes to play tennis, badminton, and travel. This year is his second year volunteering at Indonesia Mengglobal.

Rika is an ICT Professional, currently working in a non-profit organisation in Jakarta. She completed her master's degree in Science and Technology Policy at the University of Sussex, UK, and bachelor's degree in Informatics Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). She spent 3 years in Singapore and 1 year in South Korea working as a Software Engineer.

Zaki is a software engineer currently working in the data engineering division at GOJEK where he has been building data products. Zaki graduated from Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2017, majoring in Computer Science and spent 2 years working at an e-commerce startup company in Yogyakarta.

Raisa is a graduate student at Cornell University, USA, majoring in Master of Industrial and Labor Relations. She has 4+ years experience as a human resources practitioner and currently works as People Analytics Lead at Mekari, an Indonesian technology company. She is passionate about building a better and kinder workplace.

Ratih is a lecturer in the Mathematics Education department at Universitas Mataram. She was awarded the StuNed of Nuffic Neso and the BPP of Dikti to earn her master degree in the field of mathematics education from Utrecht University and Universitas Sriwijaya. After completing her master study, she joined Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha – Bali as a junior lecturer. There she initiated a community service program named Taman Ganesha Cerdas and encouraged her students to support the community in conducting educations in suburb area. Beside mathematics, Ratih is also passionate in arts and beauty that makes her eager to promote the combination of those three in formal mathematics teaching.

Munissa is currently based in Jakarta, working as Social Media Officer in multinational advertising agency. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration minoring in Marketing at Universitas Brawijaya.

Growing up in Hong Kong, Fristi pursued her undergraduate degree in International Management at the University of Manchester. Passionate in educational projects, she dedicated her time as a project leader to teach basic finance to low-economic background students, which won EY Best Youth Project in University, and volunteered as a teacher assistant in Italy. Before embarking as a marketing professional in a ride-hailing company, she began her journey in a digital advertising agency in Manchester.

Priskila is a final year student in Universitas Airlangga, majoring in Public Health. She has an enormous interest in education on a global scale that encourages her to join Indonesia Mengglobal. This is her very first year journey on IM Management Team

Zulfikar is an urban design student in Kyoto University. He loves art, and pursues to create a better city through his skill in designing. He contributes as content designer in the current Indonesia Mengglobal Management Team.

Better known as Salsabila, she was born and raised in Bali. Currently a third year Electrical Engineering student in Udayana University, she is not only known to be an excellent student in her studies but she’s also proactive in contributing her time in social causes like mental health issues in Indonesia. Salsabila is a woman with a growth mindset that loves challenges and strives to continuously develop new skills.

Hanissa is currently based in Tembagapura, working as a videographer at a mining company. Hanissa completed her bachelor’s degree in Communication Science at Brawijaya University. This is her first year volunteering at Indonesia Mengglobal.

Karunia, or better known as Karin, is a communications professional working at a multinational food and beverage company in Jakarta. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Baylor University in Texas, USA.

Rio was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. After high school, he decided to move to Milwaukee, WI, USA to pursue a Bachelor Degree. He graduated from Ottawa University in 2011 majoring in Information Technology. He currently works as a Lead Front End Developer at GMR Marketing while also pursuing an MBA degree at Carroll University

Fadhil is a computer science graduate student in the University of Massachussets, US. He has a bachelor degree from Informatics ITB and has multiple experiences in Indonesian tech companies like Suitmedia, Bukalapak, Tokopedia, and Ruangguru. Silvia is a final year undergraduate majoring in Environmental Health at Universitas Indonesia. Not only does she have a massive interest in the issues of climate change and sustainability, Silvia also puts her concerns in education. Silvia has several volunteering experiences in the education field, including when she taught unprivileged kids weekly. This year, she is grateful to have her first year volunteering at Indonesia Mengglobal. Asides from all the above, Silvia enjoys playing tennis, knitting, and playing ukulele.

Nariah holds an associate’s degree in Valuation from Politeknik Keuangan Negara STAN and is currently working as a civil servant at Directorate General of Taxes, Ministry of Finance. Upon returning from an exchange program in the United States 5 years ago, her interest in education, public policy, and gender equality has significantly grown. She was constantly involved in several projects around those areas during her college years, including the first Women’s Day event at her university, in which she became the project leader. Aside from her professional work and volunteering activities, Nariah enjoys reading books and writing stories on her personal blog. This is her first year volunteering at Indonesia Mengglobal.
